Mechanical Engineering Services

Mechanical engineering services applies first principal physics to solve industrial and infrastructure equipment and machines, the outcome being clear blueprint of how to solve the problem.

Engineering value lies in solving problems that cannot be addressed through trial and error.

Prototype development

The customer has an idea for a product but does not know whether it is technically feasible, manufacturable, reliable, or cost-effective. Developing the wrong prototype wastes time and money.

Perform a structured product development process including requirement analysis, concept generation, material selection, tolerance stack-up analysis, 3D CAD modelling, design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), finite element analysis (FEA), rapid prototyping, functional testing, and iterative design improvements before production tooling is commissioned

Repeated failures of structures and machines

A machine experiences repeated failures such as cracked welds, bent shafts, excessive vibration, overheating, premature bearing failure, or poor performance. The root cause is unknown, leading to repeated repair costs and downtime.

Conduct a comprehensive engineering investigation using load calculations, fatigue analysis, FEA, vibration analysis, shaft and bearing calculations, failure mode analysis, material property evaluation, and operational data review. Redesign critical components, optimize geometry, improve material selection, reduce stress concentrations, and validate the improvements through simulation and field testing.

Structural steel fabrication

The customer needs a steel structure that is safe, economical, compliant with design codes, and capable of carrying operational loads without excessive deflection or failure. Incorrect design can result in costly modifications or safety risks.

Carry out structural analysis including dead, live, wind, seismic (where applicable), and equipment loads. Design members, connections, welds, and foundations using applicable structural design standards. Produce fabrication drawings, welding procedures, material specifications, inspection plans, and quality documentation to ensure the fabricated structure meets strength, durability, and regulatory requirements.

Water systems

The customer experiences low water pressure, inadequate flow, oversized pumps with excessive electricity costs, frequent pump failures, or an unreliable water supply because the system was incorrectly designed.

Perform hydraulic analysis to determine demand, calculate friction losses, establish total dynamic head (TDH), size pumps and pipes correctly, select valves and storage capacity, evaluate surge protection, and optimize energy efficiency. Design the complete water distribution system to provide reliable flow, adequate pressure, reduced operating costs, and long service life while complying with applicable plumbing and engineering standards.
